I've been taken with the arts as far back as I can remember, so the decision to pursue them after high school was a natural one.

I received my baccalaureate degree in Painting and Drawing from Indiana University-Purdue University (Fort Wayne) in the spring of '95 and have remained active in the arts ever since. Although I occasionally do figurative work, I consider myself primarily a landscape painter at this point.

I base my paintings loosely on specific places or scenes, but it's usually the color, rhythm, or pattern of something that interests me. This keeps the work natural, but ambiguous at the same time - walking the line between the lost and found, and the natural and abstracted.
